Every women loves to have long healthy nails however this not always the case. Most women who do not have perfect long nails have opted to fix acrylic nails. Unfortunately, acrylic nails have to be removed constantly so as to keep the natural nails healthy. Acrylic nails can be removed at a nail salon but you can also learn how to remove acrylic nails with acetone.

Before you start removing acrylic nails you should first start with some essential preparations. First cut the nails short, you can use a nail clipper to trim your nails. You should be careful when trimming the nails to ensure that you do not cut your natural nails. In case you find it hard to cut the nails due to the thickness, you can use a nail file to file down the nails.

Warm the acetone before using it to soak the nails. The warming should be done using warm water. Ensure that water does not mix with the acetone. The best way to warm acetone is pouring it in bowl and then placing it in a basin with hot water. Three to five minutes are enough to warm the acetone.

Use cotton balls to apply acetone on your nails. Soak the cotton balls in acetone and then them on the nails. Use polythene or foil to wrap the acrylic nails and cotton as tight as possible to enable the nails soak in acetone. Allow about 30 minutes before removing the cotton wool from the nails.

The nails should peel off as you remove the cotton ball form the nails. Any acrylic nail that is left can be removed with a nail buffer or a wood pusher. After you remove the entire acrylic nail, use nail clippers and a nail file to shape your natural nail.

After you finish shaping your nails ensures that you wash and dry your hands well. You can also apply oil or cream gently on your hands to avoid skin drying caused by acetone. Learning how to remove acrylic nails with acetone is easy.
